Annet Namususwa
On July 21, 2007 Elizabeth Kennedy wrote and article for USA Today on “Africa’s Children Struggle for Education.” She wrote the article to inform the American audience about what education is like and how many can’t receive it. It makes the audience stop and think about all the opportunities that are given and taken for granted. Kennedy also informs her audience of the efforts being made to improve the issue. 16 year-old Annet Namususwa wasn’t receiving the education she wanted. Annet thought, “She had no chance of going to secondary school until it became free.” She also said “"My aunt suggested that I get married because she had no money to pay for my fees in secondary school.” Any child, no matter what age should have access to education if they want it. Annet was able to go to school because of the opportunity given by Undugu. The free schooling provided allows and child to get an education no matter how hard of circumstances they come from.
